Spiritual Resilience

Regardless of your faith or religion, one of the four pillars we focus on for resiliency is through a spiritual journey.

Message from Jon Kyle. One of the founders and owners of Conquering Mountains Together.

When I began Conquering Mountains Together, I knew in my heart that this is the path that God had set me on. Prior to this point in my life, I felt that I had no purpose. God has provided that purpose. Throughout my life, when I was furthest from Him, chaos swirled around me. But when I’ve come closer to Him and followed Him, my heart is at peace. So, regardless of your religion, know that I am a born again Christian seeking to fulfill God’s purpose within myself and the path that I walk. He has been so good to me and I wouldn’t be the man I am today without Him nor would Conquering Mountains Together even exist if not for Him. Thank you Lord for all these blessings!

Put on the whole armor of God.

Ephesians 6: 10-18 (KJV)

“10. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15. And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16. Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”

Diversity

Jon Kyle and Sheady Davis have studied several religious beliefs ranging from Taoism, Paganism, Christianity and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We believe in the power of prayer and meditation. We fully support the use of Eastern and holistic medicine and approaches. Finding yourself in your faith or beliefs is paramount to living a healthy life.

Some of the all-natural approaches that we have found as coping mechanisms are the following:::

Apps: Insight Timer, Breathe, VA Veteran Launchpad

Intensive outpatient mental therapy: Try Vet Center or VA

Making a log of self care activities to practice when feeling down: Shadow Work Journal

Cooking and Art therapy: American Art Therapy Association

meditation

Go to your quiet place and separate yourself from your troubles, other people, and the world itself. Center yourself and for a few brief moments find your peace in solitude. Pray and meditate without the outside noises and distractions. Take these moments to decompress and destress. Quiet reflection through meditation can help ease your troubled and weary mind.
